The Hunchback of Notre Dame

May 1, 2022

Director's Note: "Love works in miracles every day: such as weakening the strong, and stretching the weak; making fools of the wise, and wise men of fools; favouring the passions, destroying reason, and in a word, turning everything topsy-turvy." -Margaret of Valois, 1553 My director's wish for my cast and you is that we will look for the everyday miracles in our lives, we will open our hearts to love, and we will all enjoy this beautiful … [Read more...] about The Hunchback of Notre Dame

TBC: Urinetown

August 1, 2021

Director's Note: I LOVE Urinetown and I LOVE TBC! So this was the perfect match for our second TBC production! The first time I saw Urinetown, I had no idea what to expect, but I quickly became a fan. I had never laughed so much in a musical before! I left the theatre that night so happy (even though my jaws ached from laughing!). This is the gift we want to give you tonight: laughter! Sometimes, a bit of laughter can ease the pains and … [Read more...] about TBC: Urinetown

Help our Theatre!

June 27, 2021

Here's what happened: On June 24, our beloved theatre caught fire, most likely caused by lightning. All of the fire damage was contained to the roof's exterior, but a huge amount of water was used to douse the flames and it all funneled into the stage area, soaking the lighting, curtains, sets, cyc, flooring, etc. While we are so grateful for the little miracles (like leaving the grand drape closed so the smoke and water didn't affect the … [Read more...] about Help our Theatre!

Hear what our audiences said! Director's Note: "Laughter is the sun that drives winter from the human face" (Victor Hugo). Tonight we want to give you a gift: laughter. This has been a tough year and we hope to put a smile on your face, if only for a couple of hours! "Laughter is like a windshield wiper, it doesn't stop the rain, but allows us to keep going". We have loved creating this hysterical gem for you and couldn't wait to add … [Read more...] about The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee

February 7, 2021

Director's Note: I LOVE working with youth! They are so fun with oodles of awesome bursting out of them! Every day I look forward to coming into this beautiful theatre and creating theatre with them! Newsies is about youth. Those young people in 1899 made a difference in our world by believing in themselves and with courage and optimism, they took on the giants of their time. Our youth today are doing the same thing! I, personally, can’t wait … [Read more...] about ELA’s Newsies!
