Here’s what happened:
On June 24, our beloved theatre caught fire, most likely caused by lightning. All of the fire damage was contained to the roof’s exterior,
but a huge amount of water was used to douse the flames and it all funneled into the stage area, soaking the lighting, curtains, sets, cyc, flooring, etc. While we are so grateful for the little miracles (like leaving the grand drape closed so the smoke and water didn’t affect the audience, sound booth, or light booth!), we have a lot of equipment and restoration ahead of us before the theatre can function again. We have had an overwhelming response from our community of people wanting to help.
Here is a way!
We are asking for any donation you can make to help restore our theatre. A fun way would be to purchase a Legacy Seat in the theatre. They can be purchased for different amounts ($75, $150, $225, and $300) and you get your name on the chair of your choice in the theatre! This will profoundly affect how quickly we can do awesome things with all of you again in this wonderful place many of us call home! Just click “Buy Tickets” at the top of the page!
