ELA’s Newsies!

Director’s Note:

I LOVE working with youth! They are so fun with oodles of awesome bursting out of them! Every day I look forward to coming into this beautiful theatre and creating theatre with them! Newsies is about youth. Those young people in 1899 made a difference in our world by believing in themselves and with courage and optimism, they took on the giants of their time. Our youth today are doing the same thing! I, personally, can’t wait to see all the amazing things they will do with this world because I can see all the incredible things are doing right now!

Rehearsals were a delight! They came each day eager and happy. And they worked HARD: Probably harder than I have asked any other cast to do. I love “playing” with them and you can feel how much they have loved creating Newsies too! Now, sit back, keep your masks on, and enjoy ELA’s Newsies!
