From Our Audiences
“A collage of awesomeness!”
“I laughed so hard!”
“Fast paced and funny!”
“Great characters from every single cast member!”
“I didn’t expect it to be THAT funny!”
I remember when I was 10 years old and my parents dragged me to go see a play called See How They Run. Needless to say, I was not pumped about it. But at the show stared I was laughing so hard, that even as a ten year old I thought it was the greatest show in Utah, nay, the world. I remember at a young age thinking if I ever have the opportunity I want to a part of this play someday. And 12 years later, I gratefully get to be a part of it.
My vision for this production is old Hollywood. I love old movies with stars like Cary Grant and Katherine Hepburn, where the dialogue is delivered so quickly that you almost have to catch your breath just to stay up with their comedic delivery. I wanted to infuse that fast paced feel into this play, so that by the time this play is over the audience feels like they have run a race in step with the characters.
So strap on your running shoes, friends, and laugh along with us as we present See How They Run.
See How They Run performed February 13-March 1, 2014
This was a fast paced comedy/farce about a young vicar’s wife who is trying to fit into a small, tightly-knit town. Set in the background of World War II, things go awry when a pompous church matron comes calling unannounced and a male friend from the vicar’s wife’s past comes to visit, the bishop (the wife’s uncle) shows up early, and an escaped Russian convict hides in the house. Throw in another vicar and a witty maid, who is a little off, and you have a hilarious comedy.
